In explaining Capleton’s adherence to this philanthropic stance, his Manager, Claudette Kemp said, it all began for Capleton when he was a young “sufferer” – walking and singing and selling exercise books in his parish of St Mary. “Capleton made a pledge at that time, that he would take care of his parish one day – when he got rich.”

Capleton performs @ CPAC (Cultural Performing Arts Center) in Brooklyn, New York 11/13/09 during the “One Love Festival Tour” alongside Cocoa-T & Jah Thunder. Many fans said “The Fire Man Rocked C-Pac.” Nicely dressed in a full suit of white, he takes the audience down memory lane briefing doing snippets of his hits songs from the 80s,90s, etc.

Capleton, the top-flight cultural deejay known as the Fyah Man, is this year extending his flames of charity across the borders of his native parish of St Mary into Portland. For the past several years, the committed Rastafarian entertainer, also called The Prophet, not only slew Babylon, but has been living the creed of his faith: “Let the children cared for, the aged be protected and the hungry be fed.”
